As a Traffic Engineer, your primary responsibility would be to ensure that information is communicated accurately, completely, and in a timely manner to clients and staff.Your key duties would include the following:- Analyzing traffic patterns and identifying ways to improve traffic control- Conducting safety studies and analyzing traffic data- Creating plans for traffic signals, pavement markings, roadway lighting, traffic control, and signing- Coordinating with clients and team members to manage project goals- Assisting with technical writing and preparing reports- Assembling and directing a project team, while maintaining effective communication with them. Qualifications 1. To qualify, you must have a license as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Traffic Engineer (TE) in California.2. You should have experience working with traffic engineering design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, InRoads, and MicroStation.3. You should also have experience with preparing DSDD packages and Caltrans permitting.
