The Sr. Director, Patient Support Programs will partner closely with Patient Support leadership to define, implement, and execute patient service programs to ensure consistent, expedient, and seamless patient experiences aligned with company strategies. This role will be responsible for leading the implementation and execution of patient support programs. Roles and Responsibilities: Maintains an expert understanding of competitive healthcare landscape and emerging market trends to best position the organization for success Leads operational excellence across PSP vendors and ensures business success Designs and leads continual improvement and qualitative initiatives to improve patient outcomes Leads planning/execution of strategic and operational plans, and KPI development using balanced scorecard approach Monitors/manages processes that ensure PSPs meet key regulatory and legal compliance requirements Develops and implements performance management processes to ensure comprehensive inspection and continual improvement activities Utilizes project management skills, methodologies, and tools to align on requirements, timelines, deliverables, and success measures Works with patient support leadership to define, prioritize, and resource projects Promotes a risk-aware culture; ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes Develops materials / presentations/reports to support senior-level executive discussions while outlining delivery on current-state business objectives and identifying future business development opportunities Oversees vendor relationships, contracting for existing vendors and opportunities to partner with new vendor/strategic partners who will help deliver a differentiated access experience Source new, innovative vendors as needed that could transform or streamline patient access processes & experiences Works with finance and legal teams to determine opportunities to negotiate contracts and optimize spend on external vendors/contractors Oversees patient access teams' budget to ensure adherence and accountability Design effective budget models for Patient Support functions Present annual budgets to Patient Support leadership Forecast future budget needs Identify variances between actual and budgeted financial results at the end of each reporting period and communicates/escalates discrepancies accordingly Suggest spending improvements that meet business objectives Design and implement effective budgeting policies and procedures Skills and Competencies: Strategic vision across operational excellence in end-to-end solutions Strategic thinker with the ability to think and respond quickly in front of customers Must demonstrate desire and ability to partner with all functional areas of the organization to achieve business success The ability to help counterparts through difficult transitions to a new process, workflow, or situation Proven business, financial and analytical acumen Quintessential self-starter and have a desire for continuous learning Excellent communicator in-person, virtually, on the phone and through email Required Education, Experience and Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in business, marketing or related field required 5+ years of experience managing a patient access function Prior vendor management experience and proven track record of vendor performance Demonstrated record of successfully leading cross-functionally and driving change in a dynamic environment Track record of relationship building with senior executives; ability to establish oneself as a peer and trusted partner Ability to travel for internal corporate meetings and customers visits when needed (25% travel) Preferred Experience and Qualifications: 5+ years of experience managing and leading people and teams in healthcare Masters or Advanced Degree in business, marketing or related field #LI-RemoteAt argenx we strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment.
