We are looking for a highly motivated, hands-on individual who can participate in the design, development and delivery work on our new InsuranceNow platform. This is a high visibility, high impact role where you will bring your experience with InsuranceNow to help us drive the successful delivery of this platform. At Preferred Risk we are building the next generation of our insurance platform leveraging Guidewire InsuranceNow and are looking to build strong technical skills in the application development and support of this new platform. The Software Developer will participate in the design, development, and delivery of our insurance product portfolio on the InsuranceNow platform. We are searching for people who will bring their experience with InsuranceNow to help us drive the successful delivery of this high visibility, high impact project. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES : Product scoping, discovery, hands-on technical input and helping translate user features into system design Work in an agile team, pair programming and support deliverables in production Development of the all the required functions/features on the InsuranceNow platform Driving the data migration from legacy systems to the new platform through data cleansing, data preparation and test bed creation Receive and provide feedback in code reviews Interface with and help evolve REST APIs Do test-driven FrontEnd development to ensure high confidence in any code you develop Work with the User Experience team to achieve a great user experience Collaborate within the Scrum Team to understand the requirements and possible implementation options Help develop Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) Own, troubleshoot & resolve code defects Exert technical influence to improve the reliability of our products and systems Ability to rapidly absorb new technologies and have the desire to work in a fast-paced environment Bring your experience to coach and mentor other engineers technically. Ability to drive results. QUALIFICATIONS: K nowledge of P&C Insurance InsuranceNow development experience Strong software development skills in JavaScript (ES 6) Strong technical communication skills Understand REST API for data interchange Have Agile, systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong interpersonal skills and a sense of ownership and drive Strong individual contributor with strong experience delivering high-quality solutions BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent industry technical skills Experience in designing, analyzing and solving problems for large-scale distributed systems 2+ years of work experience in a SaaS production environment for large-scale enterprise Clean code practices Interest in software / architectural design principles Passionate about quality, mentoring junior candidates and in general a great team player Experience working in an agile environment Job Posted by ApplicantPro
