Summary Nellie's Treehouse is seeking a full-time Prek (fours) and K (fives) teacher starting in June. Nellie's is located on Route 101A in Amherst NH. The program is open from 6:00am to 6:00pm Monday through Friday and is licensed by the State of NH CCLU. The program is based on developmentally appropriate and hands on learning experiences. We provide quality care and education for children from 6wks to 6 yrs. Duties Creating a safe and healthy classroom environment Creating strong home-school bonds with parents and children Planning and implementing a developmental and hands on curriculum that addresses individual needs as well Ability to work with children with learning disabilities and coordinate with the administration and the child's IEP team Planning and provided centers that encourage learning Cleaning of classroom Daily communication and use of Brightwheel to keep parents in the loop Requirements Must have a lead teacher cerrtification, CDA, Associates or Bachelors Degree Experience a plus CPR and First Aid Training (must be completed in first 90 days) Willing to take NH required Health and Safety Trainings within first 90 days Able to pass and complete Fingerprint and Background Check Willing to maintain 18 hours of professional development annually Reliable and consistent Work as part of a team Good communication Nice To Haves Flexible and willing to pitch in Good Sense of Humor Willingness to advance Benefits Up to 80 hou rs of PTO annually Paid holidays the school is closed 25% of individual insurance plus 5% increase with each year worked up to 50% Child care % after applying for state scholarship money Employer paid Teledoc programAFLACSELA membershihp About Us Nellie's Treehouse is a family-owned and operated child care/early learning center located on Route 101A in Amherst, NH. The program opened in 2000, serves children from 6 weeks to 5 years and has a licensed capacity of 69 students. Nellie's provides 5,000 square feet of indoor classroom spaces and sits on an acre of land. The goal of the school is to ensure the safety and well being of the children at all times and to encourage successful social, emotional, intellectual and physical growth and development throughout the early years. We acknowledge the importance of authentic partnerships with families as they are their child's first teachers. We recognize each child as an individual and utilize developmentally appropriate, play based curriculum to promote independence and foster creativity. The center is open from 6:00am to 7:00pm and has an open door policy. Infants and Ones are provided diapers, wipes, spring water and whole milk. Twos, Preschool, Pre-k and K are provided breakfast, lunches and 3 snacks.
