Responsibilities for thisPhysical Therapistopportunity include, but are not limited to: Demonstrate excellence in customer service and public relations to promote a positive professional image Work independently with attention to detail and possess the necessary knowledge of all aspects of daily operations Conduct assessments of students with physical disabilities or impairments to determine their functional abilities and limitations Provide therapeutic interventions to improve students' gross motor skills, mobility, balance, coordination, and overall physical function Consult with teachers, special education staff, and other school personnel to provide strategies for integrating physical therapy goals into the academic setting Work closely with parents or caregivers to discuss students' progress, provide home exercises, and offer guidance on supporting physical development outside of school Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, interventions, and progress notes in accordance with school and regulatory standards Collaborate with other members of the school-based team, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and special education staff, to address the comprehensive needs of students Be a model of professionalism and compassion by serving as an ambassador to this organization JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PT PHYSICAL THERAPIST: Masters of Science or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program Successful completion of National Certification Examination 1 year of verifiable, supervised professional experience within the last 3 years Valid PT license in Georgia CareerStaff is proud to be a six-time Great Place to Work--- and Diversity for Social Impact--- certified source of healthcare careers.
