Work as a member of the Northrop Grumman team supporting the Joint Staff in delivering collective joint training to enhance the operational effectiveness of the current and future joint force. The Military Trainer / Principal Military Trainer - Master Scenario Events List (MSEL) Planner serves as a functional expert in the Master Scenario Events List (MSEL) section for the planning, conceptualization and preparation of MSEL products for joint and combined military exercises and mission rehearsals in coordination with the Joint Exercise Support Team (JEST). Responsibilities Include: * Participate, coordinate and plan the development of MSEL Matrix, MSEL database, overview briefing, storylines and scripted events for assigned Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) events.* Plan and facilitate MSEL synchronization events.* Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) and analysis for MSEL management and development.* Serve as the Lead MSEL Manager to the Exercise Director and the Joint Exercise Control Group (JECG) during the execution phase of training events.* Provide instruction in MSEL operations to members of the JECG. Attend planning conferences and execution events throughout JELC. Basic Qualifications for Military Trainer - Master Scenario Events List (MSEL) Planner: * One of the following:* High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 7 years of professional leadership experience* Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years of professional leadership experience* Master's degree with a minimum of 1 year of professional leadership experience* Minimum of 1 year of experience as a commissioned officer, non-commissioned officer, or U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) civilian equivalent* Must possess an active U.S. DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance* Must have or be able to obtain a valid U.S. Passport* Must be able to travel CONUS and OCONUS as needed (up to 25% of the time)* Must be able to work on-site in Suffolk, Virginia* Ability to organize and complete assignments according to established standards regarding clarity, conciseness, style and terminology.* B.S. or B.A. degree. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement. Basic Qualifications for Principal Military Trainer - Scenario and Operational Environment Planner: * One of the following:* High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 10 years of professional leadership experience* Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 6 years of professional leadership experience* Master's degree with a minimum of 4 years of professional leadership experience* Minimum of 4 years of experience as a commissioned officer, non-commissioned officer, or U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) civilian equivalent* Must possess an active U.S. DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance* Must have or be able to obtain a valid U.S. Passport* Must be able to travel CONUS and OCONUS as needed (up to 25% of the time)* Must be able to work on-site in Suffolk, Virginia Preferred Qualifications: * At least 3 years of experience in the joint or service planning process* Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance* Working knowledge of JTIMS JMSEL and Legacy JMSEL* Joint Staff J7 Exercise/Event Experience Salary Range: $59,600 - $89,400 Salary Range 2: $73,300 - $109,900The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
