LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE - PEDIATRICS “We encourage Military Veterans and Military Spouses to apply" SITE OF SERVICE : 21st Medical Group, Peterson AFB and Schriever AFB, Colorado. Full Time POSITION QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS: Degree: Certificate. Education: Graduate from an accredited community college, junior college, college, university or vocational nursing program/practical nursing program approved by the appropriate State agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Certifications: Current hands on certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross . Basic Life Support (BLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Experience: Shall have practiced as an LPN/LVN a minimum of 3 years full-time nursing Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in the last 3 calendar years in a pediatric setting Licensure/Registration: Possess a current and unrestricted license to practice as a license as a practical or vocational nurse. in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Island. U.S. Citizenship : Shall be a U.S. citizen English Language Requirement: Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate. Physical Capability: Shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of performing all services required under the contract . HOURS: Shift hours will be through Monday – Friday, 0730-1630 BENEFITS: Medical/Dental/Vision PTO 401K Life Insurance/Disability Insurance Continuing Medical Education Reimbursement SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Time management skills required. The ability to meet deadlines in a deadline intensive environment is essential. High level of adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
