As a Senior Director of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within Consumer and Community Banking in the Payments space, you lead a technical area and drive impact within teams, technologies, and projects across departments. Utilize your in-depth knowledge of software, applications, technical processes, and product management to drive multiple complex projects and initiatives, while serving as a primary decision maker for your teams and be a driver of innovation and solution delivery. Job responsibilities * Leads technology and process implementations to achieve functional technology objectives * Drives accountability for decisions that influence teams' resources, budget, tactical operations, and the execution and implementation of processes and procedures * Carries governance accountability for coding decisions, control obligations, and measures of success such as cost of ownership, maintainability, and portfolio operations * Manage all aspects of technology delivery * Delivers technical solutions that can be leveraged across multiple businesses and domains * Influences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teams * Champions the firm's culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills * Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience. In addition, 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise. * Experience managing teams of 25-30. * Experience developing or leading cross-functional teams of technologists * Strong background in Java/J2EE, REST APIs, Web Services, Spring Framework and AWS Services in public cloud infrastructure (S3, Terraform, PostgreSQL DB, Dynamo DB) * Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security. * Experience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talent * Experience leading a product as a Product Owner or Product Manager * Practical cloud native experience * Experience working on back end systems * Expertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills * Experience working at code level as an engineer * Experience working with Payment Systems Chase is a leading financial services firm, helping nearly half of America's households and small businesses achieve their financial goals through a broad range of financial products.
