Job Title: Automation-OT Network Advisor -Woodlands, TX Schedule: 9/80 (Mon & Fri remote and Tue-Thu in office) Location: Woodlands, TX (No housing provided) Danos Expectations: A successful candidate will exhibit characteristics that support the following: * Safety Awareness * Work Ethic * Technical Skill * Customer Focus * Open Communication * Implementing Vision and Values Responsibilities: Responsible for advising and supporting GOM automation networks. Conduct annual site visits to perform health checks on the automation networks. Implement automation network standards. Perform system updates and optimization of all offshore control networks. Advise on future upgrades and manage project installations. * Requires occasional offshore travel to deepwater facilities. * Requires travel to attend meetings and FAT's throughout the gulf coast * Install, program, maintain or repair automation network and security system. * In depth understanding of automation network control systems * Proficient in Allen Bradley PLC programming, HMI development and network structure * Testing and checking the system for weakness in software and hardware. * Maintain firewalls, VPN's, servers, and switches. * Maintain OT networks (DLR, Hirschman Firewalls and switches, Windows Operating Systems). * Configure and install security infrastructure devices. * Ability to communicate and report network security issues to upper management. * Configure and troubleshoot operating systems associated with computers, servers, and other OT devices . Qualifications: * 2-year Instrumentation or Automation technology degree with a GPA of 2.5 or higher (or foreign equivalent), or equivalent technical working experience with a good track record of safety. * 5+ years' experience IT/OT systems and with automation network control systems. * 2+ years of Oil Field experience with offshore experience preferred. * Expert knowledge of oil and gas systems. * Expert knowledge of automation, networks, and controls. * Expert level of understanding of automation, network, and electrical design principles. * Strong background in OT networks (DLR, Hirschman Firewalls and switches, Windows Operating Systems). * Experience in Wonderware HMI's. * Strong knowledge of firewalls, VPN's, servers, and switches. * Understanding of PSSRs and MOCs. * Understanding of digital and analog I/O, programming, and troubleshooting. * Strong Leadership and Mentoring skills. * Ability to perform under pressure. * Strong written, oral and project management skills. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Demonstrate ability to perform strong time management skills. * Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines. * Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming. * Ability to interact with customers and clients in a positive and professional manner. * Be knowledgeable with tagging conventions, programming simulation and testing. * Must be self-motivated and willing to work extended hours. * This position requires offshore travel but will be primarily working in the client's office in the Woodlands, TX.
