To learn more about us please visit: https://www.iki.com/ Position Summary: The Systems Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, production, and sales, to deliver reliable, efficient, and cost-effective and custom solutions tailored to our clients' unique needs. Responsibilities : Identify customer needs and provide technical expertise during the sales process including participation in client meetings, proposal generation and cost estimates, presentations, and site visits to offer system insights and recommendations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop conveyor systems that meet customer specifications, ensuring that they are efficient, reliable, and scalable. Oversee the full project lifecycle from concept to completion, including information gathering, planning, scheduling, resource allocation, vendor communication, process evaluation and budgeting. Integrate mechanical, electrical, and control systems to ensure seamless operation and compatibility with customer processes. Provide expert technical support during installation, commissioning, and post-installation to foresee, troubleshoot and resolve issues with the system. Prepare technical documentation including system designs, user manuals, and testing protocols. Ensure all designs comply with safety regulations, industry standards, and company quality guidelines. 10-20% travel required. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or similar technical discipline) required. Conveyor system experience preferred. Proficiency in designing material handling systems including: layout, AutoCAD, rate calculations and process evaluation. Proficiency in the practical application of engineering science and technology , including applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services. Experience in sales support including interacting and participating in review of customer requirements, obtaining data, and the creation of bills of materials. Standards experience regarding the design and build, totaling costs and markups, and working with vendors and subcontractors. External sales experience involving professional proposal generation that includes graphics, photos and/or drawings. Field service experience during installation (kick off and support). Creativity and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency with the following software: AutoCAD, Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio, ERP (Epicor E9) Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Ability to identify measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system.
