This position offers a vital opportunity to contribute to the firm's leadership in the banking and finance sector by delivering valuable resources, facilitating learning, and promoting internal expertise.Duties:Practice SupportRecommend and provide precedents, conduct legal research, and offer guidance on diverse banking and finance matters.Coordinate with the firm’s opinion committee to maintain and update legal opinion templates.Facilitate access to resources and connect with specialists in other practice areas as required.Knowledge ManagementCollect, organize, and curate templates, checklists, and other know-how materials specific to banking and finance.Collaborate with legal teams across various locations to support firm-wide knowledge initiatives.Horizon ScanningRegularly monitor and report on litigation, regulatory, and market developments that impact the banking and finance landscape.Provide periodic updates to the team through newsletters, emails, and meetings.Thought LeadershipDraft client briefings, articles, presentations, and other thought leadership content that enhances client resources and the firm’s reputation.Contribute substantive content to marketing and business development materials.TrainingOrganize and conduct training sessions on relevant legal topics for internal teams and clients.Manage Continuing Legal Education (CLE) applications and ensure compliance with related requirements.Provide orientation training for new team members and curate relevant training resources.Requirements:EducationJuris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school.Admission to the New York Bar.ExperienceMinimum of 6 years of experience in bank finance or debt restructuring.CertificationsMust be licensed to practice law in New York State.Skills:Strong legal research and analytical abilities.Expertise in managing legal precedents, templates, and knowledge resources.Experience designing and delivering training, briefings, and presentations on diverse legal topics.Proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to identify and address team needs.Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including public speaking.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with professionals across multiple teams.Job Location: New York City, NY With more than 3,200 lawyers, this is one of the biggest law practices in the world.
