Job Title: General Labor - Construction Location: Various Sites in the DMV Area Type: Full-Time Position Overview: To meet our growth goals, we are adding a General Laborer to the team. In this role, you will provide essential manual labor support to construction projects, ensuring efficient site preparation, material handling, and assistance to skilled tradespeople. This role requires performing physically demanding tasks, lifting and moving materials, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment. Key Responsibilities: Perform general labor tasks on construction sites, such as digging trenches, cleaning debris, and loading/unloading materials. Handle construction materials, tools, and equipment, including independently lifting up to 75 pounds. Collaborate with team members for team lifts of materials weighing up to 150 pounds. Transport and distribute materials, tools, and equipment to designated areas on the job site. Assist skilled tradespeople (sheet metal installers, refrigerant piping mechanics, plumbers) by providing needed materials and performing basic tasks. Set up and take down scaffolding, temporary structures, and barriers as needed. Follow safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Maintain a clean, organized work environment by removing waste and ensuring safe access to work areas. Participate in demolition activities and assist with site clean-up tasks. Operate simple tools and equipment under supervision. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors to ensure project completion. Qualifications: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions. Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds independently and collaborate on team lifts up to 150 pounds. Familiarity with basic construction tools and equipment. Willingness to follow instructions and safety protocols. Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail. Previous construction or general labor experience is a plus but not required.
