The summer Internship program runs June through August, with flexible dates available, based on school schedules. Interns who perform well and demonstrate a commitment to our values of integrity, creativity, teamwork, passion and excellence may be extended employment opportunities with Western Alliance Bank.The intern will be a team member of:The Asset Based Lending Group provides asset-based loans tailored to a company's goals, within specific lending guidelines. We typically base financial covenants upon net availability, balance sheet liquidity and/or cash flow.Asset-based loans are a great alternative for companies in a variety of situations including a period of rapid growth, experiencing seasonality, in turnaround or recovery mode, or when highly leveraged or undercapitalized. Our asset-based loan (ABL) solutions provide access to additional capital for growth, payroll and other operating expenses, secured by your accounts receivable and inventory.What we are looking for: Potential Projects Projects will be based on business needs at the time of the internship. The internship concludes with a presentation summarizing your findings to department leaders and personnel. Past projects have included (1) performing a detailed underwriting analysis on client financial and collateral performance versus projections; (2) Updating collateral and financial summaries and testing covenants for WAB client; and (3) reviewing borrowing bases, field exams and inventory appraisals.Individuals who are passionate and entrepreneurial, just like our clients. Specifically, we're looking for top-performers interested in pursuing careers in Commercial Banking.You may be a fit for the program if you meet certain eligibility requirements, including: Undergraduate students currently enrolled in a related field of study GPA of 3.0 or higher Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills. Ability to self-motivate and work productively without supervision An interest in working in the Commercial Business Banking industryTo be eligible for this program, you must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis.
