This position is suitable for both part-time and full-time candidates with a strong background in commercial law, including federal and state litigation, bankruptcy law, real estate transactions, and probate law. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate proficiency in legal processes.DutiesDraft pleadings, contracts, and correspondence to support legal proceedings.Negotiate and finalize transactions effectively.Handle electronic filing for federal and state cases.Assist in the intake process and initiation of client representation.Respond promptly to client emails and phone calls.Attend hearings via Zoom or in person as required.Conduct legal research and perform other assigned duties to support the legal team.RequirementsJuris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent (L3).Prior experience in a law office or related environment is preferred.Active membership in the relevant state Bar.EducationJuris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal degree.CertificationsActive Bar membership in the relevant jurisdiction.SkillsProficient with legal technology and electronic filing systems.Strong self-direction with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interactions.Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to legal processes.BenefitsFlexible work schedule to promote work-life balance.ScheduleFull-time and part-time positions available.Expected hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.In-person work location at the Romeoville office.This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated attorney to enhance their career within a supportive and dynamic legal environment, focusing on a diverse range of practice areas.
