Position Skills: The optimal candidate will have the following experience: 2-3 years of recent conveyor layout experience in power and free or friction drive conveyors experience with header steel and screen guard layouts. Performed cycle time studies. Understands chain pull outputs. Has had some field support for conveyor installation project (prefer experience with body, paint, and assembly shops) Has the ability to travel out of town for 12-18 months. (if needed) Has had automotive manufacturing plant conveyor experience. Position Duties: Perform conveyor layouts (paths, header steel, screen guard, etc) Perform conveyor engineering studies (cycle time analysis, through put calc's, cording & accumulation studies. chain pull calculations) Work with jr. engineers to support conveyor projects. Chain conveyor engineering meetings and attend coordination meetings. Support conveyor installation projects. Review engineering drawings. Perform conveyor health assessments. Work with project team to coordinate installation activities and review progress.
