This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic legal environment focusing on general liability, construction defect (CD) defense, and employment defense litigation. Based in Irvine, CA, the position provides a hybrid work schedule with both in-office and remote flexibility.Duties:Manage and handle defense litigation cases, including general liability, construction defect, and employment defense litigation.Conduct legal research, and prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.Attend court hearings, mediations, depositions, and client meetings.Defend depositions, take depositions, and draft/oppose motions.Develop case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys and legal staff.Maintain client relationships and provide regular updates on case status and developments.Requirements:Experience in defense litigation, focusing on general liability, CD defense, or employment defense.Proven ability to take and defend depositions.Experience attending mediations and court appearances.Strong litigation skills, including drafting and opposing motions.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Active and in good standing with the California Bar.Certifications:California Bar Admission required.Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Exceptional writing and legal research skills.Ability to handle multiple cases and work in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients and team members.A proactive approach with strong attention to detail.Location:Irvine, CA (Hybrid: In-office and remote)Benefits:Comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision).Hybrid work environment offering work-life balance.Professional growth opportunities within a well-established law firm.This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a close-knit team, providing strong support and resources while encouraging individual growth and development within the firm.
