Practice Area: Litigation - General (consumer), Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 2 Years, A law firm seeks a qualified Associate Attorney to join its general liability and medical malpractice teams in Philadelphia, PA. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work closely with experienced partners on a variety of complex insurance defense cases. The ideal candidate will be licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, with a Delaware license considered a plus. The firm offers a collaborative work environment and comprehensive benefits.Duties:Assist partners in handling general liability and medical malpractice cases.Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other court documents.Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and mediations.Participate in trial preparation and provide support throughout the litigation process.Communicate with clients, providing case updates and legal counsel.Work independently and collaboratively to manage case files and meet court deadlines.Requirements:Active licenses to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.Delaware Bar admission is preferred but not required.Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.Experience or interest in general liability and medical malpractice defense.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple cases.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active Bar membership in Pennsylvania and New Jersey (Delaware preferred but not required).Skills:Proficiency in legal research and document drafting.Strong case management and organizational skills.Ability to collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff.Effective communication and negotiation skills.Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.Location:Philadelphia, PA (in-office position).Benefits:401(k) retirement plan.Comprehensive health and dental insurance.Professional development opportunities within a collaborative firm environment.This role offers an exciting opportunity to grow as part of an established insurance defense firm in Center City Philadelphia.
