JOB TITLE: Electrical Designer LOCATION: Aiken, SC We are seeking to fill a key role for a project involving the design and development of cutting-edge systems that will have a lasting impact on infrastructure and technological advancements. This role will support the project’s mission of delivering high-quality, innovative solutions within the realm of electrical design. JOB DESCRIPTION The Electrical Designer will play a crucial role in the development of electrical design plans and documents, supporting engineers and project teams in the design and implementation of electrical systems. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to collaborate with various teams to ensure successful project execution. RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare detailed electrical design drawings, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts. Collaborate with engineers and other designers to develop design solutions and ensure compliance with project specifications. Conduct field surveys and inspections to gather data for design modifications and improvements. Review and revise electrical designs to meet safety, regulatory, and project standards. Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and project teams to ensure materials and designs meet the necessary requirements. Assist in the selection of electrical components and materials for project execution. Provide technical support during the construction and installation phases of the project. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS U.S. citizenship is required. Associate’s degree in Electrical Design, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of work-related experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software. Strong understanding of electrical codes and regulations. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to perform fieldwork and surveys. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 15 years of experience in electrical design, with a focus on large-scale industrial projects. Experience with 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks. Familiarity with electrical system design in a construction or manufacturing setting. Knowledge of energy-efficient systems and green building standards. Compensation for this position is hourly ($62-72) based on experience, background, and skills.
