While experience in family law is not required, the ideal candidate will be licensed to practice in Missouri, with Kansas licensure being a plus. This position offers a collaborative work environment with opportunities for professional growth in family law.Duties:Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, custody, child support, and alimony cases.Draft and file legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and agreements.Conduct legal research and prepare for hearings, mediations, and trials.Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies.Maintain strong communication with clients, providing legal guidance and updates throughout the process.Attend court hearings, negotiations, and settlement conferences.Manage a diverse caseload with attention to detail and deadlines.Requirements:Licensed to practice law in Missouri (required).Kansas licensure is preferred but not mandatory.Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.Motivated to learn and grow in the area of family law.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Licensed to practice law in Missouri.Kansas Bar admission (preferred but not required).Skills:Proficiency in legal research and drafting legal documents.Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.Strong organizational and time management skills.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential client matters with professionalism.Location: Lees Summit, MOBenefits:Health, dental, vision, and life insurance.Paid time off (PTO) and flexible scheduling options.Retirement plan.Collaborative and supportive work environment.
