Maintenance Tech

Description:
Job Duties and Responsibilities: Repair mechanical issues of facility machinery as requested by the maintenance manager on a daily basis. Monitor and repair electric controls on industrial production equipment. Improve the functioning of the machinery by making mechanical adjustments and performing preventative maintenance. Perform basic building maintenance and repairs, including drywall repairs, painting, and other tasks as needed. Complete daily mechanical maintenance and repair record forms and deliver them to the maintenance manager. Clean and maintain work area after mechanical work has been performed. Perform quality welding and electrical work as required.Obtain services of outside contractors for repairs requiring specialized training. Perform regularly scheduled work orders on equipment and facilities.Other duties, as assigned. Education Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Minimum of two (2) years of technical/mechanical experience in Food Production. Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills. Knowledge of Mechanical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic systems, and Control Systems. Experience with High-Speed Packaging Machinery and industrial electrical PLC. Thorough knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repair. Ability to read blueprints, building plans, and repair manuals.Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.Experience with TIG and MIG welding.Forklift (Stand-up/Sit-down, High Reach) certification preferred.Familiarity with Sanitary Environments is an asset.Positive, proactive, and self-motivated with leadership qualities.Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations calmly. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing and walking.Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, and crawl into awkward spaces. Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
