The ideal candidate will possess the ability to navigate complex regulatory frameworks, engage with clients, and contribute to the firm’s commitment to high-quality legal services.DutiesCommunicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, and third parties.Produce timely deliverables, respond to correspondence, and answer phone calls efficiently.Ensure quality work product that meets deadlines and expectations.Foster positive relationships within the firm and with external stakeholders.Comply with all firm policies and practices.Engage in physical and sedentary activities, including computer work and virtual meetings.Perform additional duties as assigned.RequirementsAdmitted to practice in Washington, D.C. and at least one other state.Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.Prior experience in a law firm or agency setting.Education CertificationsJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.SkillsStrong background in key environmental statutes and regulations (TSCA, FIFRA, CAA, CWA, CERCLA, RCRA).Concentrated experience in environmental litigation and regulatory compliance.Familiarity with working with agencies such as EPA, NOAA, and state environmental agencies.Experience in advising on emerging environmental issues and liability exposure.Ability to negotiate compliance and recovery agreements.Familiarity with technical aspects of environmental operations, sediment contamination, and remediation.Strong analytical, writing, and organizational skills.Demonstrated oral and written communication skills, along with persuasive communication ability.Good business judgment, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.
