Your role as a Assembly Technician As an Assembly Technician at QC Supply in Schuyler, NE, you'll play a crucial role in our production process. Your primary responsibility will be to assemble various components and parts to create high-quality finished goods for sale or use. Your keen manual dexterity and experience with hand and power tools will be instrumental in ensuring that each product is assembled with precision and care. You should have a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to read and understand basic English. Your ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment is essential. Strong communication skills and the capacity to follow deadlines are key to success in this role. Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination are crucial for assembling parts and components accurately. Experience with both power and manual tools will be beneficial, as well as the ability to read and follow a Bill of Materials. A forklift certification and experience with stand-up and sit-down lifts are preferred skills that will give you an edge in this position. Knowledge and skills required for the position are: ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES To setup/arrange and operate equipment/tools per instructions. To assemble parts and components to build new product per Bill of Materials. Perform tests and final inspections on product assembled in the shop. Perform installation/repair/diagnosis and inspection of customer products. Aid in performance cycle counts in shop and ordering of components. Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to an environment of teamwork and collaboration. Must be safety conscious and follow all safety procedures and protocols. General housekeeping and sanitation of shop and work areas. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or Equivalent. Ability to read and understand basic English. Ability to function in a fast-paced customer driven environment. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. PREFERRED SKILLS Hand and eye coordination with manual dexterity. Experience in the utilization of power and manual tools. Strong communication skills/able to understand/follow deadlines and ability to learn new assemblies. Forklift certification/experience with stand-up and sit-down lifts. Able to read and follow a Bill of Materials. ADDITIONAL NOTES This position will require up to 100% standing and walking/with up to 50% of the associates' time spent in the warehouse depending on needs of the business.
