We’re seeking auto industry pros with a knack for problem-solving and hand tools to join our service department as a mechanic. You’ll troubleshoot everything from shoddy air conditioning to vehicle electrical systems, conducting preventive maintenance and structural repairs along the way. We need a candidate with stellar communication skills and a strong work ethic. If this sounds like you, start your application today! Responsibilities: • Encourage and facilitate preventive maintenance work such as oil changes, air conditioning service, flushing, brake replacement, tire rotation, and more• Preparing estimates, timelines, and other necessary documents for auto repairs• Perform system inspections, test drives, and diagnostic tests to determine necessary repair work• Work with auto mechanic team members to determine vehicle problems and solutions Qualifications: • Required state-issued driver’s license• An associate's degree from a vocational or technical school and/or ASE certification are a plus• Excellent work ethic, listening, problem-solving, and communication skills are desired • Good manual dexterity and effective use of hand tools and other equipment needed for vehicle repairs Compensation: $20 - $30 hourly About Company: Auto One is a family-owned and operated auto repair facility located near downtown Ypsilanti. We are open Monday through Friday 9:00AM - 5:30PM and 9:00AM -2:00PM on Saturdays. Here at Auto One, we look for more than just experience and education when bringing on new staff members.
