HQ LOCATION: 45 W 21st St., Suite 201, New York, NY 10010CONTACT: & specify job code Z072024Y HOURS/WEEK: 40 Lead Software Engineer JOB DUTIES: Design and implement an automated credit risk monitoring framework serving Parker Groups internal risk team and underwriters. Improve fraud detection capability by integrating with third party APIs. Improve the company's schema and models to better serve customers with accuracy, financial analytics, and reports. Perform the following duties: Design and develop software including creating and implementing code and logic necessary to build and maintain the backend software that powers Parker Groups application using Docker, GrapQL, AWS and other technologies; Identify and troubleshoot any issues or bugs that arise within the software, ensuring the applications smooth functioning using source control Git and various programming languages; Work closely with product managers and other team members to understand project requirements, features, and functionality needed for the application; Oversee the organization and management of the application's data, including database design, querying, and optimization; Build, maintain and integrate APIs that facilitate communication between different components of the application; Integrate various software systems and third-party services into the application, enhancing its capabilities and user experience; Identify and optimize areas of the software to improve its performance, scalability, and efficiency; Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of the codebase, making it easier for other team members to understand and contribute; Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance of the backend software to ensure its reliability and functionality; Utilize version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage code changes and collaborate effectively with other developers. Utilize the following tools and technologies to perform the above duties: Git, Javascript, Python, SQL, relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), Cloud platforms, AWSand its subtools (e.g., S3), Command line tools (e.g., Terminal or equivalent), and IDE. Salary range $190,000 - 225,000/year. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field (foreign equivalent degrees accepted) and five (5) years of experience in a Software Engineer or Developer role including: Developing new backend software for services (e.g., Docker, GraphQL), meant to be served on the internet via the cloud (AWS); maintaining existing software services using advanced software engineering techniques including debugging, building and packaging software, using source control Git and various programming languages; and, developing data pipelines, developing and integrating with APIs, and systems design to serve and scale our software systems. All experience may be gained concurrently. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires demonstrated experience with Git, GraphQL, Docker, Relational Databases, and Command Line.
