We offer a vibrant, collaborative, and entrepreneurial work environment with team members who care about producing quality products.OPEX Corporation is currently looking for a Linux/Unix Systems Engineer to administer the CI/CD toolchain/pipeline servers for our innovative Robotic Warehouse Automation products. This position will be responsible for the monitoring and maintenance of both VM and hardware installed operating systems (mostly Linux but also some Windows) comprising the various links in the CI/CD toolchain including but not limited to VMware, CheckMK, Atlassian Jira & Confluence, Docker, Plastic SCM, Jenkins, Artifactory, Octopus and Dependency Track. Responsibilities This role requires a seasoned LINUX/UNIX systems engineer, administrator and architect. This person will be expected to: * Administer Linux and Windows based DevOps servers. * Serve as the primary interface between software development and DevOps. * Serve as the primary interface between DevOps and OPEX IT. * Design and develop scripts to reliably and repeatedly perform server administration tasks such as user management and OS upgrades. * Design, develop and understand CI/CD Pipeline scripts. * Hold themselves and the entire team accountable to the highest standards. Systems are maintained without outage except for unavoidable cases such as OS and tool updates. * Ensure that DevOps is using contemporary and secure tools and processes. * Work closely with Engineering management on solution design, and when necessary, technology selection for new initiatives. Take what you learn and challenge status quo. * Support and comfortably work within an iterative, evolutionary approach to development. * Improve quality and efficiency, in part by expanding use of automated tests. * Mentor others in technical and non-technical areas. * Deliver and facilitate the delivery of large, complex projects with quality. * Coordinate multiple high priority tasks.Skills & Qualifications: * Unix/Linux administration experience * Windows administration experience * Network administration experience * Version control administration experience, Plastic SCM preferred * Atlassian Jira & Confluence administration experience * JFrog Artifactory administration experience * Jenkins administration experience * Octopus administration experience * VMWare / ProxMUX administration experience * CheckMK administration experience * Network Attached Storage design & administration experience * Scripting experience (PowerShell, bat, python, shell) * Software code scanning tool experience * C++ compiler/build tool experience * Java compiler/build tool experience * Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience and competency. * Demonstrated ability to "fail fast", learn and rapidly iterate towards a solution. * Exceptional listening, verbal, presentation, interpersonal, and written communication skills. * Mentoring experience * Ability to support emergency situations outside of normal business hours
