Job Title: Catholic Music Director Job Type: Part Time Location: Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ Qualifications: The Catholic Music Director will provide necessary services to perform choir and congregational leadership and musical expertise for Mass at the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base (DMAFB) Chapel. Must demonstrate professional competence through academic certification and/or experience in Catholic music performance and choral direction. Proven familiarity with the requirements of Catholic worship. Ability to sight-read, select, and prepare liturgical music, conduct choral and congregational singing, and direct accompanists and other instrumentalists. Willingness to provide services in alignment with standard ecclesiastical liturgical practices. Duties: Select music for liturgical services in collaboration with the accompanist and Catholic Chaplain, ensuring alignment with Roman Catholic traditions. Conduct weekly rehearsals separate from liturgies and prepare music for choir members while adhering to copyright laws. Meet regularly with the Catholic Chaplain for music planning and attend Parish Advisory Council and liturgical meetings. Provide music services for weekend Masses and special services as directed, including warm-up sessions. Attend sound system training for both chapels on DMAFB. Powered by JazzHR
