Accent Controls, Inc. is seeking a full-time, non-exempt Warehouse Specialist for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Distribution, located in San Diego, CA. JOB SUMMARY: The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for executing the daily tasks associated with the maintenance of the Site's stock record accountability and inventory accuracy goals to include maintenance, stock integrity, stock readiness, stock accuracy, quality control sampling, and process adherence for warehoused accountable material and processes. The Inventory Control Clerk may be responsible for the loading and unloading of materials and supplies. They utilize the Stock Readiness Plan, Physical Inventory Plan, Training Plan, and Quality Control Plan (QCP) to perform job functions in accordance with established Government policies and procedures. Adheres to audit readiness requirements and associated contract requirements. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ability to understand and meet the productivity goals associated with assigned functional area / process to reporting teammates. Follows established guidelines in performing day-to-day routine tasks as outlined in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Technical Manuals. Ability to understand and execute various tasks IAW with site established Physical Inventory Control Plan (PICP). Capable of executing the program and meeting required company and contract metrics. Understand and execute the technical aspects of inventory and storage management functions (Receiving / Induction, Customer requisitions, and Transportation). Capable of executing Causative Adjustments Research Plan: perform causative research and reconcile inventory adjustments in stock records within required timeframes. Communicate with warehouse on measures to improve and maintain inventory accuracy goals. Capable of executing Stock Readiness Program: perform instorage inspections, minor repair of packaging, and limited testing of material to detect deterioration of material and/or packaging, site and global records are updated, and provide timely updates to material attributes (i.e., identification, unit of pack, unit of issue, etc.) Capable of executing Supply Discrepancy Plan: Ability to prepare, submit, monitor, and resolve supply discrepancy reports (customer complaint discrepancies and internal stock discrepancies). Communicate with customer when necessary to provide resolution. Capable of executing Physical Inventories Program: monitoring daily warehouse / cyclic inventories. Perform research and reconciliations to correct imbalances and prevent order denials. Organize Sample Inventory schedule and oversee to improve overall stock accuracy levels. Perform routine workload analysis from storage management generated reports and prepare reports for management review. Provide customer support responding to requests for information, inspections and various inventory related statuses with specified time frames. Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide seamless customer service. Understand and execute assigned tasks IAW with site established Quality Control / Customer Service Plan (QC/CSP). Perform Quality Control audits, monitor sampling plans, spot troubleshooting errors discovered and provide resolution. Implement and provide process improvement training based on trends & analysis of Quality Control audits. Provide process and inventory analysis and make recommendations for improvements. Utilize Query Management System along with warehouse management system to provide management analysis reports for review. Develop and utilize spreadsheets within excel to capture data collected. Develop checklists based on Standard Operation Procedures for applicable processes, the contract and QMT checklist items. Submit for management review and approval. Execute daily and short-to-long range projects with minimal supervision. Respond to Surveillance reports from the CGA with learned knowledge of the contract, SOP's and QMT checklist items. Provide timely and accurate records and reports as required. Adhere to Government and Company policies and procedures. Maintain a safe and secure work environment. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma (or equivalent). SUMMARY OF JOB REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines. Skilled in planning, controlling, executing, multi-tasking and being responsible for the successful completion of work requirements. Query Management Facility (QMF) database experience is a plus. Computer literate with proven experience in desktop computer operating system preferably Microsoft programs: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Office. Experience utilizing and/or operating a variety of Material Handling Equipment. Must be U.S. Citizen Possess a valid Driver's License. Fluent in speaking, reading and writing the English language. Training and experience processing Hazardous Material a plus. Military or DLA Distribution experience preferable. Ability to successfully completion of WMS training, OSHA compliance, DLA SOP training and various company training requirements. MISCELLANEOUS / OTHER: Ability to stand, squat, and have full range of motion, wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) as needed for job duties, lift at least 40 pounds, operate a forklift in accordance with a training certification program, and see, hear and respond to dangerous situations.
