Job Overview: Human Resources Generalist will oversee all facets of human resources, including payroll, staffing, training, safety, and employee relations. This is a hands-on position requiring the ideal candidate to manage their time well and connect with others in the organization to ensure timely completion of various projects. The Human Resources Generalist must demonstrate a high level of confidentiality and trustworthiness in all matters and strive to create and maintain a positive impact on employee relations. Reports to: Plant Manager Essential Functions: Process weekly payroll, which includes sending approved temporary employee timesheets/work hours and verify accuracy of billing statements received from temp agencies. Generate routine and ad-hoc reports using HRIS system. Perform routine tasks including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; attendance; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; occupational health and safety; and training and development. Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and certifications. Manage recruiting, interviewing, and facilitating the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Conduct new-hire on-boarding on company policies, safety requirements, and new hire paperwork. Maintain accurate employee information in HRIS system, including new hires, status changes, and position information. Develop HR material such as job descriptions, trainings, and communications. Administer Safety Program, OSHA Compliance, as well as maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. The Ideal Candidate Will Be: Highly organized with attention to detail Ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects, and meet deadlines Ability to perform with minimal supervision and direction Ability to work effectively in a team Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills Bilingual English-Spanish preferred, but not required Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency with or ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management system Knowledge of federal and state labor laws as well as OSHA regulations Education and Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in Human Resources Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field is preferred Previous experience processing payroll with ADP highly preferred Manufacturing experience is a plus Benefits Comprehensive benefits package includes Medical, Dental, and Vision plans (PPO); Fully-vested 401(k) plan with employer match of up to 4%; Basic & Supplemental Life & AD&D; FSA (Medical & Dependent Care); Vacation, PTO, and Holidays
