Donor Relations Manager Chatham University's Office of University Advancement, which serves a diverse population of over 17,000 alumni and friends, is seeking a Donor Relations Manager . The Donor Relations Manager should be an organized, collaborative and highly motivated individual who will manage an array of fundraising and stewardship projects in a fast-paced environment. This position will oversee and execute a variety of special fundraising and stewardship projects and programs, working with colleagues in University Advancement and across the University, as well as with alumni and donors, to plan, implement, monitor, and report upon successful fundraising initiatives, including but not limited to expendable and endowed scholarships, the annual Donor Report, Reunion Class Committee projects, Graduate Alumni giving programs, parent giving, athletics, and other custom giving opportunities. They will also track and report on endowed and expendable scholarships/awards/stipends and plan and execute all stewardship related activities and events for University Advancement. Reporting to the Senior Director of Alumni Engagement and Individual Giving, this position will play a vital role in engaging alumni and other key constituents and donors with the University to build long-term program success. Outside of the Advancement Office, the Donor Relations Manager will build effective relationships with departments including the Business Office, Financial Aid, Athletics, Health Sciences, and Marketing and Communications to ensure projects are achieved in a timely and effective way and goals are met. This position will have the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule with both remote and in-person work on a weekly basis. Specific schedules are based on job functions and project workload and are determined with supervisors. Duties and Responsibilities: Create a comprehensive donor relations annual plan to steward donors in key categories, such as scholarships, reunion giving, Dilworth Society, and Leadership Circle. Develop giving and stewardship programs consistent with the University's strategic plan and ensure programs effectively address objectives and priorities, operate within budget limitations, and comply with appropriate policies and procedures. In collaboration with the Office of Alumni Engagement and Development Staff, plan and coordinate special outreach programs and events to foster enhanced donor stewardship and recognition including the annual scholarship donor recognition event, giving society programming, or individual/small group meetings or meals. Maintain a comprehensive list of all donor-established expendable and endowed scholarships and award funds for future audit and reporting needs, ensuring that all gift agreements are tracked and recorded. Work with the Business Office, Financial Aid, program directors, and deans to ensure that all endowed and restricted expendable funds of more than $2,500 are accurate for reporting purposes and that funds are awarded in keeping with donor intent. Develop and maintain a system of timely and accurate annual reporting to donors for endowed and expendable funds with information about the University's use of their gifts. Utilize the DonorPerfect database to create custom donor lists for relevant Development Staff. Project manage and execute the annual Donor Report. Plan, implement, monitor and report on special fundraising projects, including but not limited to reunion giving and class scholarships, graduate alumni giving programs, parent giving, athletics, endowed and expendable scholarships and awards, and other custom giving opportunities. Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience. At least two to three years of relevant experience. Demonstrated ability to understand the needs and interests of donors in order to develop and strengthen relationships with the University. Proven strength in interpersonal and communication skills-written and oral. Experience in successfully managing multiple, fast-paced projects independently. Keen attention to detail and accuracy. Committed to working with diverse colleagues, students, and community members. Valid driver's license and ability to travel independently throughout the Pittsburgh region. Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends when required for special alumni and donor events or travel. Preferred Qualifications: Previous fundraising, higher education, and/or nonprofit and project management experience. Previous experience stewarding volunteers or donors. Familiarity working with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, Constant Contact, and mainstream computer software like Microsoft Word and Excel.
