The full continuum of River Edge Behavioral Health services provides state-of-the-art treatment and support services for more than 13,000 children, youth, families and adults annually, who experience mental illness, addiction, co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities. *River Edge is currently hiring staff for one of our brand NEW facilities!* The new River Edge Recovery Center is a residential alternative to or diversion from inpatient hospitalization. We offer 24 hour walk in outpatient services, 23 hour observation unit, crisis residential psychiatric stabilization and medically monitored detoxification services. Location/Schedule: Child & Adolescent Unit and Adult Unit For our Fulton Mill Road location we are currently seeking staff to work in the Crisis Units for Full-time; Part-time . Schedules to choose from are: 7p-7a Monday-Friday, work every other weekend with Monday and Friday off - 40 hours per week Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday - 32 hours per week Job Description: Under direct supervision, performs assigned direct care activities, basic nursing procedures and training for patient's/consumers in a residential/ 24 hour supervised community-based program. Implements assigned parts of the individualized treatment plans. Assists patients/consumers in learning daily living skills, participates in recreational and social activities and accompanies patients/consumers to appointments and activities. Observes and documents patient/consumer behavior. Provides transportation to clients and their children as assigned by supervisor. Minimum Qualifications: Any combination of training and experience that would enable the applicant to have acquired the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities. Valid Driver's license, clean driving record with personal vehicle to provide transportation as assigned. Preferred Qualifications: Fully COVID Vaccinated. EXPERIENCE WITH HANDLING INDIVIDUALS IN MENTAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE CRISIS. CNA preferred but not required. Six months of experience performing direct care activities, basic nursing procedures, and/or training for persons with physical, developmental, mental health, and/or substance abuse disabilities. All selected applicants must pass a satisfactory background clearance and pre-employment drug test.
