Wiegel Tool Works is a premier metal stamping manufacturer located in Wood Dale Illinois. Established in 1941 our company occupies a 93,000 square foot modern air-conditioned building recently expanded in 2011. WTW specializes in complete turnkey packages including engineering, prototypes, tool construction, and wire/EDM. Wiegel Tool Works is seeking Project Coordinator to join our team in Wood Dale, IL. Key Responsibilities: Creates quote numbers in production system and quote folders to maintain data. Reviews data supplied by customers to ensure all necessary information and specifications are included. Creates and works with engineering department to create strip layouts. Creates and audits quote spreadsheet. Inputs material, labor and any other specifications required to complete the quote. Selects suppliers for material, plating and/or other outside service as needed. Submits requirements, quotes and due dates to vendors. Reviews vendor bids and selects vendors based on price, delivery and/or quality history. Meets with suppliers to review capabilities and establish a relationship as requested. Works closely with management to create the best estimate for the projects being quoted. Create sales orders for tooling jobs and assigns the Job number to the project. Works closely with other departments to ensure that the project is on schedule, within budget, and to Quality standards. Works with outside tool builders to ensure that the tool will be delivered on time and built to our standards. Creates a "Tooling Book" with required documents. Coordinates internal tool design reviews. Interacts with customers to ensure their requirements are met, sends weekly progress reports and communicate changes. Minimum Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent. 3-5 years of relevant experience with progressive dies. Wide range of product knowledge including customer requirements, company capabilities. Good communication skills including the ability to receive oral and written instruction and provide information to outside vendors, customers, employees and management. Ability to manage multiple tasks. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Ability to read and understand specifications, blueprints/drawings, and other technical data. Excellent problem-solving, collaboration and project management skills. EOE/ADA
