FIREFIGHTER EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN (CERTIFIED) $55,653/annually High school graduate or GED, possession of current Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certificate and a valid State of Florida Firefighter certification or proof of current enrollment in Fire Academy with a graduation date no later than May 1, 2023. Applicants must upload copies of the required documents listed below: Proof of current Florida Firefighter Certificate of Compliance as approved by the Florida Bureau of Fire Standards by June 1, 2023. Proof of current licensure in the State of Florida as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT) High school diploma/GED Valid Florida Driver's License Birth Certificate EVOC Current BLS/HCP Current CPAT APPLICATION DEADLINE: May 10, 2023 All notifications will be made by email communication. Applicants will be held accountable for reviewing their emails. Conditions of Employment EMT/NREMT/New Hire: 1. Employees who are hired as Emergency Medical Technicians must complete all of the following requirements within three years from the date of hire: a. Successfully become a Florida State licensed paramedic or Nationally Registered Paramedic b. Successfully complete the Riviera Beach Fire Rescue paramedic preceptorship program and obtain approval from the Riviera Beach Medical Director to function as a protocoled paramedic. 2.
