Shoppes at Mission Trace - 965 FL-16, Ste 101, Saint Augustine, FL 32084 SHIFT LEADER Position Summary: The Shift Leader is responsible for assisting the General Manager and Assistant Manager with day to day operations, along with crew member supervision and facilitation of shift goals. Knowledge and execution of Customer Service, Product Quality, Safety, and Sanitation and Maintenance policies and procedures are crucial. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Leads team members in a fair and professional manner. Models expected team member behaviors and characteristics. Completes operations checklists in an accurate and timely manner. Follows Marco’s procedures for preparing dough, sauce, and toppings, and correctly making all Marco’s products with a sense of urgency and accuracy in line with Marco’s product quality standards. Motivates and coaches team members and assists in the training of new team members. Operates all machinery in accordance with Marco’s safety requirements and all applicable state and federal laws (must be over the age of 18 to operate or clean certain machinery). Exemplifies customer service and hospitality standards, ensuring all guests receive a 5-star experience. Maintains cleanliness of the store and delegates cleaning tasks as appropriate. Facilitates important quality stations within the kitchen operation, such as stretch table, oven loader, and cut table to enforce efficient kitchen pacing and uphold Marco’s product quality standards. Demonstrates awareness and critical thought for future orders and delivery orders. Loads oven in a timely manner to ensure exceptional product quality at time of guest receipt. Assists with food cost management strategies to reduce and log waste and ensure proper portioning. Motivates team to achieve key customer service metrics goals such as load time, out the door time, shelf time, and delivery time. Completes other duties as assigned. Opening/Closing Shift Leaders (must be at least 18 years old) Supervises team members and delegates shift-related tasks in the absence of the General Manager and Assistant Manager. Performs basic daily inventory entry tasks with accuracy and efficiency. Reviews inventory submission reports to correct errors before end of shift. Performs cash handling and register cash out/set up tasks with accuracy and integrity. Efficiently completes store opening and/or closing tasks. Maintains store security protocols by ensuring alarm set and doors locked outside of operating hours. Handles customer service complaints or concerns as the Manager on Duty using Marco’s service recovery model. Updates promise times as needed. Completes prep list and associated tasks as directed by the General Manager or Assistant Manager. Completes other duties as assigned. Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: Valid driver’s license Preferred: ability to pass a motor vehicle report showing safe driving history in line with Marco’s Delivery Driver Guidelines. ServSafe Food Handler certification Must complete certification course and furnish certification within 60 days of hire Compensation Scale $13 - $15 per hour Eligible for tip share distribution Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements Must be able to stand for long periods of time (10 hours) on any given day Need to be able to lift minimum 50 lbs
