You must be within 50 miles driving distance from one of our Capital One hubs in Charlotte, NC or Plano, TX.Tax Credit Operations supports the Capital Markets line of business in the Commercial Bank division of Capital One.It consists of a portfolio of tax credit investment products including New Market Tax Credits and Alternative Energy Tax Credits.As a Senior Associate on the Tax Credit Operations team, you will develop expertise in areas such as: closing, booking, funding, servicing and account reconciliation. Responsibilities: Manage a portfolio of active credit facilities and equity investments for New Markets Tax Credit and Alternative Energy Tax Credit loans and investments.Process loan and equity requests (draw downs, pay downs, interest payments); interest and exchange rate fixing, manual interest and fee calculations, as well as, billing and liquidationsWork closely with respective business units and other internal partners to align needs and provide support as neededPerform manual loan tracking enhancements, cash breaks analysis, reconciliations of interest fees and letters of credit, and comprehensive testing of system enhancementsReview of, and extraction from, legal documents for compliance, interpretation and operational viabilityDevelop, design, and implement inter-departmental controls, risk-reducing processesServe as liaison for both borrowers, lenders and investors by responding, resolving, and expediting inquiries, discrepancies, and special requestsPrepare and submit periodic (daily and above) departmental and team reports and metricsEstablish and maintain Customer Satisfaction through positive and constructive client relationsLead team projects and process improvement initiatives with Team Lead supportBecome a product, operations, and overall subject matter expert in the Tax Credit industry Role Expectations: Delivering quality project work and process efficiencies on a consistent basisAbility to prioritize workflow and manage multiple assignments or deliverables at onceAbility to operate and excel in a team environment while maintaining professionalism and respect for team members and Capital One associatesProactively identify team needs, gain buy-in from team members, and implement efficienciesOn-time and accurate execution of workflowAssociate should be comfortable organizing, preparing, and executing ad-hoc presentations for team members and stakeholdersAssociate should be motivated to learn complexities of Tax Credit products as well as demonstrate an understanding of the products and processes supported by team to both immediate team members & partner groupsAssociate should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to interact effectively with Internal and External stakeholdersHighly motivated professional, possessing strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detailAssociate should possess and be willing to contribute to the development of financial industry "Skills of the Future" which include but are not limited to:Tech Fluency - Candidate has a desire to understand top-level technology trends and the possibilities these trends offer their team and their LOBDesign Mindset - Candidate doesn't just optimize, he or she challenges assumptions and constraints with the processWorkload Management - Candidate gathers information from a broad range of sources to make the best decisions and work efficientlyAdaptive Thinking - Candidate can consider different viewpoints that conflict with their natural bias Work from Home Technology Requirements: A secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractionsA reliable private internet connection that is not supplied via cellular data or hotspotA private network that is password protected where you have ownership or line of sight to every device on the networkInternet service must be provided by Cable or fiber Internet Service Provides (ISP)Hotspots and satellite services are prohibited and do not meet performance criteria required for optimal agent/customer interactionsISP download speeds on VPN must be at least 5Mbps, with 10+ Mbps preferredTo validate ISP speeds from a Chrome browser, go to www.google.com , type Speed Test and run from the Google landing pageBoth Hardwire and WiFi internet connections are acceptable as long as speed and security requirements are metCapital One reserves the right to request proof of internet provider, speed and service package from the associate.
