The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in debt financing and a strong background in representing private equity sponsors and borrower-side finance. Outstanding academic credentials and prior law firm experience are essential for this role. Admission to the Illinois Bar is preferred.Duties:Provide legal advice and support on complex debt financing transactions.Represent private equity sponsors and borrowers in structuring and negotiating financing agreements.Draft, review, and negotiate loan agreements, credit agreements, and other related documentation.Conduct due diligence and assess legal risks associated with debt financing transactions.Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and legal professionals to ensure successful transaction outcomes.Stay current with industry trends, legal developments, and changes in regulations affecting debt financing.Manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently while maintaining high-quality work.Mentor and supervise junior attorneys and support staff as needed.Requirements:Significant experience in debt financing and related legal practice areas.Proven track record representing private equity sponsors and borrowers.Outstanding academic credentials, including a J.D. from an accredited law school.Prior experience in a reputable law firm is required.Admission to the Illinois Bar is preferred.Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the Illinois Bar is preferred.Skills:Expertise in debt financing and transactional law.Proficiency in drafting and negotiating complex legal documents.Strong understanding of private equity transactions and borrower-side finance.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
