Formore information visit www.uop.com.TheLead Modular Process Engineerwill support different facets of the modularbusiness including sales support, process design, basic and detailedengineering,procurement, fabrication, and delivery of prefabricatedModular Process Plants of various UOP technologies. This role would alsosupport thedevelopmentand improvement of standards, tools, andtechnology for modular equipment offerings. The role may also be expected tosupport UOP Sch A process technology efforts as demand might dictate. Key Responsibilities ProvideProcess Engineeringexpertise throughoutthe duration of EQUIPMENT projects, including Proposal phase designs, BasicEngineering, FEED, Detailed Engineering,Procurement, and Fabrication. Assigned projects will involve one or more related refinery processes andtechnologies and will include new unit designs and revamps. Perform basicengineering designincluding process selection,simulation,and equipment sizing. Perform hydraulics and othercalculationsfor sizing of equipment,control valves, andpiping. Generate documents for design projects including Process Flow Diagrams(PFDs),Piping&InstrumentationDiagrams (P&IDs),Project & Equipment Specifications and inputs required for FEED, andDetailed Engineering Develop basicinstrumentationand control philosophyspecifications. Participate in thedevelopmentand review of basic plant andequipment layout / general arrangement and modular 3-D models. Contribute to processes related to sub-vendors such as Technical BidEvaluation and Design Progress Review. Contribute as a process engineer in internal and external HAZOP studies ofHoneywell UOP-delivered modular process plants. Contribute as a process engineer to interdisciplinary check of definedproject deliverables. Complete assignedproject workper the agreed scope, schedule, andbudget. Keep the Project Manager informed of progress on assigned tasks. Bring anyproblems related to scope, schedule, and cost to the Project Manager's and theTeam's notice as early as possible and work towards resolving such issues. Attend, lead, and contribute to project team meetings and customer meetingsas assigned and agreed with the Project Manager. Adhere to current design practices, tools,technical standards,policies, and procedures for the completion of assigned tasks Document allcalculationsand work processes in a clear, conciseformat. Work with Sales Support to produce optimized process solutions in both thebudgetary and fixed proposal phases that can be smoothly handed off forprojectexecution. Perform Customer Specifications Review and contribute to thedevelopmentofExceptions & Clarifications Communication when required on Fixed PriceProposals. Participate in newtechnology development/infrastructureteams whenassigned. Keep up to date with customer needs and technologies within assigned areas. Recommend and participate in efforts for the improvement of technology,designtools, work processes & procedures. Interact closely with Technology Experts, Process Specialists, SkillsSpecialists (Static, Rotary,Piping,Instrumentation, Electrical,Structural, Metallurgy, etc.), andTechnical Servicesto come up withsolutions to complex problems. Providetechnical leadership, set upinfrastructure, and guidelinesfor Modularprocess engineering. Provide mentoring to the modular process team. Please note that this salaryinformation serves as a general guideline.
