MMP Staffing Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. The SLP will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. The ideal candidate will work with a diverse client population, including children and adults, to improve communication abilities and overall quality of life. Key Responsibilities: Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. Utilize standardized assessment tools and techniques to develop accurate diagnostic profiles. Individualized Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clients' needs and goals. Collaborate with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to set achievable therapy objectives. Therapeutic Interventions: Provide evidence-based therapy for speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. Utilize various therapeutic techniques, including articulation therapy, language intervention activities, and oral motor therapy. Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes. Client and Family Education: Educate clients and their families about communication disorders, therapy techniques, and strategies to support progress at home. Provide training and resources to caregivers and educators to enhance clients' communication skills in different environments. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including assessment results, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries. Prepare and submit necessary reports to comply with regulatory and organizational requirements. Collaboration and Consultation: Work collaboratively with other healthcare providers, educators, and professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss client progress and coordinate care. Professional Development: Stay current with advancements in the field of speech-language pathology through continuing education and professional development activities. Maintain licensure and certification requirements. Qualifications: Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Licensure and Certification: DC, VA or MD Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in speech-language pathology preferred. Experience working with diverse populations, including children and adults, in various settings (e.g., schools, clinics, hospitals). Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to build rapport with clients and maintain a compassionate, patient-centered approach. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Proficiency in using technology and electronic health records (EHR) for documentation. Work Environment: The position may require working in various settings, including schools, clinics, hospitals, and clients' homes. Some travel may be required to accommodate clients' needs.
