Lab Technician Where will you work: Onsite Plant City (111 East Tever Street, Plant City, Fl 33563)The ideal candidate will assist in Microbiology Lab with sample processing, media preparation, quality control (QC) checks, data entry and log/record keeping. As part of the laboratory team, the selected candidate will report to the Research and Development Leader and will collaborate with production specialists. What you'll do: Process samples from production of microbial inoculants determining viability and shelf lifeConduct testing of raw materialsHelp facilitate a clean lab environment, including preparation, cleaning, sanitizing, and sterilizing of glassware.Media preparationUse of lab equipment (e.g. scales, autoclaves)Perform pipetting and serial dilutions What you'll need: BA/BS preferred in Biology, Microbiology, or related areas.Previous laboratory experience including bacterial culture and cell-based assay techniques is preferred.The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the functions of this job.
