Summary We are seeking a passionate and experienced Daycare Music Teacher to join our team at Little Rainbow Daycare. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education, with expertise in teaching young children. The Daycare Music Teacher will be responsible for creating a fun and engaging music curriculum that fosters children's creativity, musical expression, and cognitive development. Duties - Develop and implement a developmentally appropriate music curriculum for children ages Infant - Pre-K in our daycare program.- Conduct music classes that incorporate a variety of musical activities, including singing, playing instruments, movement, and listening exercises.- Introduce children to a diverse range of musical styles, genres, and cultures.- Provide individualized instruction to meet the needs and interests of each child.- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment where children feel encouraged to explore and express themselves through music.- Collaborate with daycare staff to integrate music into other areas of the curriculum, such as language arts, math, and science.- Organize and lead special music events, performances, and concerts for parents and families.- Maintain a safe and organized music space, ensuring that instruments and materials are properly stored and maintained.- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and involvement in the music program. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in music education, early childhood education, or a related field (preferred).- Proven experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or educational setting.- Proficiency in playing a variety of musical instruments, including but not limited to piano, guitar, percussion, and ukulele.- Strong musical skills, including sight-reading, ear training, and music theory.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and connect with children, parents, and colleagues.- Creativity, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for working with young children.- Ability to plan and organize lessons effectively, incorporating age-appropriate activities and educational goals.- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of children and accommodate changing schedules and priorities.
