SUMMARY Assists Maintenance Mechanic in repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Adhere to all state and federal OSHA codes and regulations. Maintain plant equipment and facilities. Complete preventive maintenance work orders. Complete corrective work orders Work projects such as installing gas and air lines, landscaping, and miscellaneous maintenance projects. Any duties assigned by the lead man or the maintenance department manager. Assist with monitoring inventory of parts and supplies. Complete all paperwork and data entry as required. Maintain a clean and organized Maintenance area. Cleans work area, tools, and equipment. Assists maintenance/production staff as needed. Be flexible with schedule as needed. Follows all Company established rules and policies. Performs other routine duties. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must have a valid Georgia Drivers License EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school education, GED; or up to one year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one:on:one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. REASONING ABILITY Ability common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS None required.
