Job Description Facilitates the supply chain function to ensure all purchases optimize value and quality received for all Departmental purchases.RESPONSIBILITIES* Acquire bids from vendors that will meet specifications presented by other departments.* Process purchase requisitions for goods and services according to Departmental Purchasing Policies.* Identify opportunities to aggregate spend which in turn will increase cost savings.* Create and maintain strong working relationships with our vendors. * Enforce Company purchasing policies and procedures. Ensure that all purchase requisitions and other purchase documents comply with established processes, policies and procedures.* Maintain price matrix, quotes, and vendor information.* Take all necessary steps to ensure that service execution meets and exceeds contractual/customer expectations.* Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.QUALIFICATIONS* Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Extremely organized and detail-oriented.* Must be able to work at a fast pace in a rapidly changing business environment * Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.* Ability to read, analyze and interpret quotes estimates or bids to ensure requirements/specifications or scope of work will be met.
