Internal Title - Accounting AssistantLocation - 10777 Yeager Road Jacksonville, FL 32218Term - Full-timeHours - Monday-Friday 9:00 AM-5:00 PMReports to - Senior Accountant About Us: We are part of a Caribbean regional conglomerate knownas the Massy group of companies that has been in operation for over 100years. A significant portion of thegroup's operations are focused on the distribution and retailing of consumerproducts. As an organization we continue to attract a growing list ofinternational and regional partners to represent their brands throughout theCaribbean. Job Purpose: This role is responsible for supporting the accountsteam to ensure the integrity of the inventory and maintenance of the ERPsystem. It will also support the accountant in effectively managing thecompany's accounts receivable. Responsibilities: *Responsiblefor Accounts Receivable including but not limited to:-Monthlystatements.-Followingup on overdue balances.-Resolvingcustomer queries.-Customercheck deposits.-Issuingcredit notes for customer claims and A&P activity.*Responsiblefor Inventory Control including but not limited to:-OverseeingInventory stock counts.-Resolvinginventory differences and reconciliations.-Creatingnew items in the ERP system and maintaining pricing records.*Supportsthe Accounts Payable Clerk as required to process:-Directorder billing.-Receiptingof inventory.-Recordingaccounts payable invoices.-Preparationof payments to vendors. Candidate Requirements: *Associatedegree in finance or accounting.*2years plus experience in an accounting support role. *Previousexperience working within warehouse/manufacturing environments is a plus.*Experiencewith inventory management.*Intermediateto advance user of Microsoft Office suite and other analytical tools.*Experiencewith ERP systems.
