Job Overview:The Lateral Intellectual Property Partner will be responsible for bringing in and managing a portable business of at least $1 million in the field of intellectual property law. Duties:Bring in and manage a portable business of at least $1 million in intellectual property lawProvide strategic legal advice to clients on intellectual property matters, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secretsLead and manage intellectual property transactions, including licensing agreements, technology transfers, and IP due diligenceOversee intellectual property litigation and enforcement effortsCounsel clients on IP portfolio management and enforcement strategiesMentor junior attorneys and provide guidance on complex IP legal matters Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the Bar in New YorkMinimum of 8 years of experience in intellectual property lawPortable business of at least $1 million in the field of intellectual property Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school Certifications:Admission to the Bar in New York Skills:Strong business development and client management skillsExcellent communication and negotiation skillsLeadership and mentorship abilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamIn-depth knowledge of intellectual property law and practice This general practice law firm has offices in New York and Washington, DC.
