Automotive Service Technician

We are seeking an experienced and quality-driven automotive technician to fill an open position in our IL location. Our ideal candidate will be confident running diagnostics equipment to identify and complete automotive repairs to electrical and software systems. Porsche master technician preferred. Responsibilities: --- Apply a checklist-based approach to ensure a comprehensive examination of all vehicle systems, including the engine, air conditioning, transmission, and brake systems --- Ensure a straightforward repair process by clearly communicating systems issues and repairs --- Adhere to manufacturer specifications to maintain vehicle systems and ensure customer satisfaction --- Create protocols for tracking diagnostic tests and repairs, acquiring necessary technical manuals, and more throughout our dealerships --- Perform routine maintenance, as needed, like checking fluid levels, rotating tires, and oil changes --- Responsible for performing diagnosis --- Responsible for performing high-quality repairs and maintenance on customer vehicles --- Perform quality control checks for repaired vehicles to ensure repairs are complete --- Maintain a clean and organized work area --- Taking extra care and attention to ensure vehicles are not damaged while under our care Qualifications: --- Excellent customer service and communications skills are necessary --- Automotive service technology training program completion or equivalent years of experience is required; associates degree is a bonus --- Automotive Service Excellence /ASE certification or Society of Automotive Engineers /SAE certification is preferred --- Possess a high school diploma or GED --- The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience as an automotive technician --- Porsche Experience --- Engine building experience on air-cooled is required --- Highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with strong communication and time management skills --- Commitment to "Fixing it right the first time" and guaranteeing customer satisfaction --- Ability and desire to be a "team player" and display a positive work attitude --- Valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record during employment --- Ability toadapt and overcome challenges that may come your way About Company: UNMATCHED AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE AND CUSTOMIZATION.
