Description:

[Position] Microbiologist Cosmetics (Junior to Senior) [Job Description] - Bioburden panel testing.- Total plate count, Total combined yeast and mold count, enrichment testing.- Test for specific microorganisms (pathogens).- Media growth promotion testing.- Microbiological examination of water.- Environmental monitoring of air, equipment, and surfaces.- Microscopic examination and identification.- Water conductivity.- Familiarity with the following microbial techniques: membrane filtration, pour plating, streaking.- Plate reading. And apply aseptic techniques in daily workload.- Use the autoclave to sanitize consumables and biohazardous waste.- Maintain proper lab 5S, routinely check lab inventory and report expendable supplies/materials needed for testing requirements.- Provide routine preventive maintenance by daily cleaning, sanitizing, and trash disposal.- Perform quality control monitoring by taking incubator temperatures, inoculating control organisms, running media controls, etc.- Perform all activities in a neat, safe, hygienic, and efficient manner.- Back up to other analysts.- Properly document and record all information.- Familiarity with lab ware. Familiarity of proper GDP and GMP. [Qualifications] - BS degree in microbiology or related field is required.- A minimum of 1+ years of Quality Assurance or Microbiological testing experience in the cosmetic, nutritional, or pharmaceutical industries.- One year project with possibility of extending.- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.- Must be able to adapt to changes to improve company processes.- Ability to carry up to 50 pounds.- Must be able to stand and sit for long periods of time.- Ability to work well with other team members is required.**Visa sponsorship availablePowered by JazzHR
