The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in protecting the intellectual property rights of clients through comprehensive legal counsel and representation.Duties:Conduct thorough patent and trademark searches to assess the viability of applications.Draft and prosecute patent applications in various technical fields, including electrical, math, physics, computer science, and material science.Provide legal advice on intellectual property matters, including patentability, infringement, and freedom-to-operate analyses.Represent clients in patent and trademark litigation proceedings when necessary.Collaborate with inventors, engineers, and clients to understand and articulate technical concepts in legal terms.Stay abreast of changes in patent and trademark laws and regulations.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admitted to the bar in Washington, DC.Experience as a Patent or Trademark Attorney.Strong background in electrical, math, physics, computer science, or material science.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the Washington, DC Bar.Skills:In-depth knowledge of patent and trademark law.Exceptional research and analytical skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise legal terms.Litigation experience in patent and trademark matters is a plus.
