Principal Contract Specialist CEXEC, Inc. is seeking a sharp-minded, responsive self-starter as Principal Contract Specialist to support our long-time customers at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This is an opportunity for the right person to "ramp up" their career in a high-profile, quality-matters position! You will be a relied upon pivotal resource who will assist the FAA's Sr. Level Contracting staff with pre-award through post-award Contracting activities. Your past 1102 contracting experience will be important for success. Not only will you have the opportunity to succeed here at CEXEC, a highly regarded, privately held organization with over 40 years of FAA industry experience, but you will be in a unique position to represent the CEXEC Brand and totally wow our customers! Heres what you'll need to do to "wow" our customer: Respond quickly and accurately to customer requests via email and verbal comms Be a self-starter and proactive in gathering information for various contract mods Provide informational accuracy in all documents and emails Build and retain excellent relationships with the other team members and vendors Have experience on big Systems Programs Know where to go and whom to ask for help or to obtain information (ie: PRISM help desk) Be proficient in PRISM, Delphi (FAA's OBIWAN, OBIEE, and eDocs a plus) Have a strong financial mindset for evaluating various funding/invoicing issues Be able to use your Contracts/Accounting/Finance Background to analyze and input large amounts of financial data Use your Contracts background experience with the Acquisition Management System (AMS) or at least the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Be highly competent in MS Excel, Word and other MS Office tools Anticipate and get ahead of various upcoming events (yes, be a mind-reader!) Demonstrate your amazing communication skills (ie: verbal comms and accurate written email comms) For the most part, you will be responsible for: Creating Contract Mods and processing invoices on large FAA Systems contracts Providing closeout activities for various contracts within your FAA Division Attending FAA meetings with our clients, co-workers and other support vendors Providing support for the FAA's Offshore Flight Data Processing System (OFDPS) Full lifecycle (Pre-award through post-award) Contracting activities Providing weekly and monthly CEXEC reporting using MS Word Reaching out to other FAA Vendors regarding Contracts Mods and/or issues Performing other related contract actions as necessary What you will need to qualify: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, Law or related 10+ years of relevant experience working with the FAA or other Federal Agency Certification in one or more of the following areas*: Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C) Level 3 Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level 3 Project Management (PMP) Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) Industry Certification in Contract Management-Defense (ICCM-D) I ndustry Certification in Contract Management-Federal (ICCM-F) JD in Contract Law * Or other contract related certification/licenses, deemed appropriate Travel: Some periodic on-site client visits will be required to FAA HQ (10B) in Washington, DC, but 90% of this position is currently Work from Home. CEXEC's DC office is located in the "Capital Gallery" building which is 10 yards or so from the Le'Enfant Plaza Metro and the VRE station, all located directly across the street from the FAA buildings (10a and 10b). Parking is available in CEXEC's DC office at Cap Gallery as well. CEXEC offers an expansive benefit package that includes medical, dental, and vision health benefits.
