Summary Temple Emanu-El's Early Childhood Education Program is seeking an Assistant Teacher for our Toddler Room. Hours are 9-6 (with some days possibly 7:45-4:45) Monday-Friday with a one hour break. Must have a love for young children and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.We offer a variety of benefits including health insurance and retirement plan (we contribute 3% of salary annually), personal time off, paid holidays. $20 per hour.Hiring for June 15th start. Summer or year round position available. Duties Assist the Head Teacher in the implementation of activities Ensure that the children are safe and cared for at all times Requirements A love for young children Ability to work well with others in a busy environment Strong oral communication skills and basic computer skills An understanding of child development Must clear full background check and must pass health screening. Nice To Haves Minimum of 1-2 years of professional child care experience. Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
