Practice Area: Insurance Coverage, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 2 Years, A law firm is seeking a Junior or Mid-Level Insurance Coverage Litigation Associate Attorney for their Washington, DC office.Job Overview:The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling various aspects of insurance coverage litigation, including drafting complex case evaluations, pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents. They will conduct legal research, write memoranda, and work closely with clients, witnesses, experts, and other counsel. The role requires analyzing insurance coverage and extra-contractual disputes, with an emphasis on drafting coverage opinions or other coverage analyses.Duties:Drafting complex case evaluations, pleadings, motions, and other litigation documentsHandling all aspects of litigation from inception through trial and appeal where relevantConducting legal research and writing memorandaConducting, propounding, and responding to discovery (documents, written discovery, depositions)Working with clients, witnesses, experts, and other counselAnalyzing insurance coverage and extra-contractual disputes, including drafting coverage opinions or other coverage analysesRequirements:2-5 years of litigation experience, including insurance coverage litigation experienceExcellent academic credentialsExceptional writing and analytical skillsStrong work ethic and dedicationSuperior organizational and time-management skillsAbility to effectively communicate with colleagues, clients, adversaries, and courtsExcellent interpersonal, networking, and business development skillsEmbraces teamwork and values collaborationEducation Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the Bar in Washington, DC (or eligibility for admission)Skills:Strong writing and case management skillsDirect experience handling clients and adversariesExcellent oral advocacy skillsTechnical skillsFederal District Court or Appellate clerkship (a plus) One of the biggest and most well-known law firms in the world, attorneys here are connected with a dizzying array of markets, industries, and practice areas.
