The ideal candidate will be crucial in providing expert guidance on U.S. federal tax matters, particularly in connection with cross-border issues involving high-net-worth individuals and business entities.Job Overview:Provide legal advice and strategic counsel on complex U.S. federal tax matters.Collaborate with clients to address cross-border tax issues related to high-net-worth individuals and business entities.Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring the firm's practices remain compliant and up-to-date.Duties and Responsibilities:Conduct legal research and analysis to support clients in federal tax planning and compliance matters.Represent clients in federal tax controversies, negotiations, and litigation when necessary.Draft and review legal documents, including tax opinions, memoranda, and correspondence.Provide guidance on tax implications of business transactions, mergers, and acquisitions.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Active membership in the state bar association and eligibility for admission to the Florida Bar.5-15 years of experience practicing law with a focus on U.S. federal tax matters.Proven track record in dealing with cross-border tax issues for high-net-worth individuals and business entities.Certifications:Certification as a Tax Law Specialist is highly desirable.Any relevant certifications demonstrating expertise in federal tax law.Skills:In-depth knowledge of U.S. federal tax laws and regulations.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.Ability to work collaboratively with clients and internal teams.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Benefits:Competitive compensation commensurate with experience.Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life, long-term disability, flexible spending, 401(k), Paid Time Off, pension plan, and more.
